Mental Health Trainings and Workshops

 

This is a series of mental health classes and programs addressing mental health and suicide prevention. Classes focusing on seniors, youth, or parents will also be added in 2025. Q. P. R. Training

Q. P. R. stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.             

A well-executed, strong and positive response to the early warning signs of a pending suicide event may render subsequent links in the Chain of Survival unnecessary. Most people thinking about suicide are suffering from an undiagnosed and/or untreated mental illness or substance use disorder for which excellent treatments exist.

Recognizing early the warning signs of suicide, opening a supporting dialogue with a suicidal person and securing consultation a professional may prevent the need for an emergency room visit or psychiatric hospitalization. Materials provided. Light meal provided.

"The Peak to Peak Housing and Human Services Alliance is a gathering of representatives of human services organizations serving the Peak to Peak area of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, coming together to identify needs, expand and enhance services to the residents of the Peak to Peak community, and promote inter-agency communication."
